Family

This week one activity in class particularly stood out to me. On a small sheet of paper the words “my family background is…” and we had to fill in the blank. I wrote my family background is Adventurous. Although my family isn’t as close as I would like us to be, there is one thing we all share in common. We all love the outdoors and all the activities you can partake in while being outside. Whether it be hiking, biking, fishing, skiing, or hunting, the four of us always have a good time. My brother and I do not have a close relationship at all, he does his thing and I do mine and we don’t usually talk to each other much. The one time that we are close though is when we go hunting with our father. Even though we still don’t talk a lot while hunting, skiing, or hiking, I know we are closer at those times because we all share that common love for adventure and the outdoors. After hearing the stories of Professor Stiles and Professor Day’s family life and struggles, I feel more inclined to rekindle a relationship with my brother. Although it is hard to see him because he Is still in high school, and I am here at Georgetown, I think this summer we will be able to work on getting closer
